Shade cells so every number counts the shaded cells around it.
Controls
Shade some cells black. A number gives how many of the up to eight surrounding cells, including diagonal neighbours, are shaded; the clue cell itself is not counted, so a numbered cell may also be shaded. Black cells cannot share an edge, and all white cells must stay connected. Tap a cell to cycle empty → black → white; use Clear to reset and the answer button to reveal or hide the full solution.
